I looked forward to this wedding for a long time. After hitting it off with Shelley at a wedding in Natchez (she is an awesome hair stylist) several years ago, I could not have been more excited to hear about her engagement to John (who is a talented DJ). They are super sweet, genuine people and are so much fun to be around. Their engagement session is a testament to that.
The Jackson, MS wedding did not disappoint to say the least. Shelley, John and their huge group of friends know how to have fun. From near-death experiences shooting on active train tracks (I swear, I didn’t cross the yellow line! … much) to security guards dancing alone in the dark outside the windows; there was never a dull moment
Shelley wore the most beautiful vintage Dior earrings.

You are FIERCE, woman. There is no other word for it.
Who says bridal parties have to be evenly split. I LOVED how they included exactly who they wanted to, regardless of gender. Definitely a tradition that has seen it’s better days.
A gorgeous, simple ceremony inside the train depot. Lovely.
You could say they are Gators fans.
This is a dance floor that never saw a dull moment. DJ Suzy knows how to keep a party going.

You guys definitely know how to throw a party! Congrats!
From the first time I ever spoke with Mary I knew this would be a unique wedding. She and Dave, along with Signature Occasions, put together an event that was breathtakingly beautiful as well as relaxed and fun. The couple’s love of all things outdoor and rustic was perfectly reflected in every hand-crafted detail.
They couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting.
The log centerpieces and game tables were cut and fashioned by the groom and his groomsmen. Talk about a personal touch!
The Smore stations were a hit, especially with the kids.
A huge thanks to Signature Occasions, Fresh Cut Catering and Floral (always a hit), and the wonderful band put together by Tim Avalon. It was definitely a night to remember!
If you are going to pull off a fabulous, rustic, country-chic wedding you have to have the perfect venue, a gorgeous groom and fierce modeling abilities. Well, at least that is how Lacie sees it. And the girl delivered.
The time and effort put into this wedding were motivated by much more than a desire for impeccable style. Once you get to know her you realize that Lacie’s love for all things rustic comes from a place of love and nostalgia and is more a representation of how she treats those around her, with attention and care, rather than an effort to show off her mad DIY abilities.
The gorgeous birdcage veil (love!) was handmade by Lacie.
The bridemaids’ dresses were all purchased in one shopping trip (It can be done!). Unique dresses really show off the personality of each of the girls rather than becoming a sea of color. It doesn’t hurt that these girls are all gorgeous.
Lacie and Kendall did a wonderful job of including his sweet daughters in the day. You can tell they love Lacie and are so excited about their new little family.

Lacie took time out during the ceremony to include the girls and to promise to love and take care of them. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
The God’s knot is a really unique ceremony that is a replacement for the traditional unity candle.
