Beyond This World is an awesome Christian music group from Laurel. I met up with the guys a while back for a fun promotional shoot. They are new but are booking up pretty quickly. Check out their Myspace and Facebook pages for more info.
After receiving the images from my shoot with Travis Outlaw back in July, Dime Magazine needed another taste of BG Photo awesomeness. They asked me to shoot Al Jefferson of the Minnesota Timberwolves – a 2004 Prentiss High School graduate. Al was drafted right out of high school by the Boston Celtics 15th overall. (What is up with these MS boys? Must be the muddy water and fresh air.) He joined the Timberwolves in 2007 and has been going strong since. Every summer he holds a basketball camp for Prentiss H.S. boys and they were very excited to get to be a part of our shoot in their school’s gym. I had a great time with “Big Al” and can’t wait for my next assignment from Dime! (wink wink)

The one problem I have with this spread is that your photo credit is WAY TOO SMALL! Great job, Bethany. The pictures are really compelling.
What a well-executed shoot. Nice lighting, finishing, everything. The 2nd one on the red is my fav!
great shots!

Wow, that’s awesome! The pictures look great.
Nice job on these- very modern.
Back in early July I was contacted by Dime Magazine, a leading national NBA magazine based out of New York. They asked me to do a shoot with Travis Outlaw of the Portland Trailblazers for a feature about his collection of luxury vehicles. Turns out Travis is a Mississippi native! He grew up in Starkville and was drafted right out of High School in the first round of the 2003 NBA draft. This guy is just 2 days older than me and he is already entering his 7th season in the NBA! These photos were shot at one of Travis’ homes and around downtown Starkville. Brandon and I had a great time hanging out with Travis, his friends (including New York Jets quarterback Eric Ainge) and family.
