The Battle-Friedman House in Tuscaloosa was the perfect backdrop for Sarah & Evan’s quietly elegant wedding ceremony. The beautiful gardens drew the guest’s attention away from the sweltering heat and onto the sweet couple who were focused on nothing but each other. The reception was fun and relaxed, a perfect representation of their similar personalities.

Sarah’s beautiful Alfred Angelo dress was a perfect fit for her.
I love funky wedding shoes. These Rocket Dogs were gorgeous!

Hailey Peterson of Cups N Cakes in Starkville created the delicious cake.
Sarah: My favorite moment was the first look. It was the best and most nervous I was all day. It was the only moment we had to ourselves all day, which I definitely needed! I would absolutely do it again.
Evan: The first time I saw Sarah in her dress. She was beautiful!
Sarah: My flower girl asked me if she could see our baby when we had it!
Evan: Taking my family pictures. That was an experience!
Sarah: I got to wear my great-grandmother’s pearl earrings.
Evan: We had pictures on the piano of our loved ones that have passed. It was a great way to remember them on a special day.
Sarah: Individual fans for the guests…it was hot!
Evan: Her rings and the marriage license!
Sarah: No matter what happens, at the end of the day you will be married to your best friend. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Evan: Grooms stay out of the way—let the bride make the choices! Have fun!
